Multi value attributes

Postby Malcom state » May 5th, '10, 05:33

hi,

I am using SDBExplorer and In the documents it says that there is a hard limit of 256 attributes per put operation, but of course attributes can be multi-valued. So I'm wondering if that 256 number is the number of names or the number of values that can be put in a single operation.

Let's say I have an item in a domain that only has 10 attributes (in other words, name value pairs), but each of those attributes is multi-value and therefore may have 256 values each for a total of 2560 values.

hi,

yes! the documents are telling right as 256 is the max number of attribute values an item can have. Single-valued, multi-valued doesn't matter.
Independently, 256 is also the max number of attribute names an item can have.
